Boston

Boston completely met my expectations and more.
Loved the size of the city, it was big,
but not so big its overwhelming.

My cousin, brother & I drove up
from Jersey and lucky for us,
my cousin was our tour guide
since she'd lived there before.
It's always nice to see a city from a
person who has lived there,
you get more of a local view versus
just being sucked into the touristy traps.

I wished we could have spent more time
in this great city, but we made the best with
the short amount of time we had.

Our first night we got settled into our hotel
and then headed out to Atlantic Fish Co. to get some
of the local specialties; clam chowder and of
course the infamous lobster roll {my first ever}.

Loved the lobster roll and I highly recommend eating at
this restaurant if you are ever in the Boston area.
We found it online and all the reviews were excellent,
so we gave it a try and were impressed.
All of the food was delicious, & the service phenomenal!

The next morning we headed to the Boston temple it
was a perfect way to start my day & a beautiful temple.
Afterwards we headed downtown for sightseeing and
some more delicious food.  We went to little Italy,
which I have to say I was impressed with
how clean Boston was in general and in
particular little Italy.

I had heard all the talk of the
cannoli's of Mike's pastry,
and lucky for me I had a
sneak preview a few weeks earlier when
my roomie went and brought me back one.

My cousin had told me that Mike's Pastry and
Modern Pastry were a couple of the places that were
famous for their cannoli's.  So in true fashion
I bought both kinds to see which I liked better.
It was hard because both were delicious...
but my opinion Mike's Pastry beat Modern,
but not by much.

I definitely plan on going back to Boston
someday, when there is more time for
hopefully a Red Socks game and some
more of that amazing food the city offers.
