This past weekend was the
first weekend that really felt
like summer to me.

It probably had something to do
with all of the
summer activities I love:

Strawberry Days Rodeo {a big deal around these parts},
I think I love it mostly for the people watching &
their delicious strawberries & cream.

Family gatherings are in abundance with
family here from out of town,
celebrated a friends birthday,
watched Brave {loved},
and my favorite--a bbq
up the canyon with smore's.

Summer is in full swing and
I feel like it's going to slip out
of my fingers way too fast.

Here's hoping for slow motion.

Jerry's

Every time I go to Jersey,
we go to Jerry's, when my parents go to Jersey,
they go to Jerry's and my family that lives there,
they frequent Jerry's.  I guess you could say...it's tradition.
And if you know Italian's, we're all about tradition.

Needless to say we love Jerry's.
We love it because it has all sorts
of cheeses from all over Europe,
breads, specialty hams like jamon serrano,
cookies, preserves, pastries & chocolates
along with a gazillion other delicacies.
Pretty much it's heaven for any foodie!

My cousin Francesca and I like to go
on an empty stomach because Jerry's is
known for all of the samples that are generously
given to customers on everything. So we like to eat
our way around the place, all the while filling our
cart {and tummies} full of delicious cheeses and chocolates.

If you are ever in Englewood New Jersey, hit up Jerry's
your tummy will thank me later!

The Garden & The Apple.

Just a smathering of pictures from being in Jersey and NYC.
My brother Michael hadn't been back east since he was
super young and so it was like a first time for him.

It's always fun to see a place with someone that
has never been there, because you get to
look at it through their fresh eyes.

The look on his face when he saw Time Square
was priceless, his jaw literally dropped
and he was dumb-founded.

We didn't get to do everything on his list,
but I think we packed in quite
a bit in a short amount of time.

Thankfully we had a few days spent in
Jersey with family re-cooperating from
the busy previous days in Boston & NYC.

We helped get everything ready for my
cousin's farewell festivities and then
just had fun catching up with one another.

As usual my trips back east are exhausting,
but there is no doubt it's fun to spend time with
family while enjoying all that the east coast offers.
