A successful ski day, that is if bunny hills count as skiing.

I plowed, like a pizza slice. That is what Jeff kept telling me to do. "Put pressure on your heels, pressure on the left, pressure on the right, bend your knees."

I think I was a good student, but it was because he was a very kind and patient teacher. He helped me down the first bunny hill. We laughed because I am sure people thought I was special needs. By the second time down the bunny hill I was doing it on my own. All in all I really liked skiing. I want to go again in fact.

I can finally feel like a true Utahn, what an accomplishment! Even if it was just down the bunny hills.

Next time I think I'll dream bigger and go down the big people hills.

But for now, I am happy I conquered my fears and did it.

  1. Yay Bev! I am so proud! It SO helps that Jeff taught you what to do. I didn't have a good teacher the first time as he ditched me to go down the black diamonds, and because of it, there has never been a second time.

You look adorable! Thanks for including the pictures where you're on the ground. Too cute.

  2. Em, that does not sound like a good time first experiance at all. Had Jeff done that to me, i would have killed him and i would have never been back to the slopes either. Luckily he's a patient guy, so all went well!

There are more pics of me on the ground, thanks to Jeff having a good time with my camera--i think he was thouroughly entertained!
